I scaled the pattern I was using in a spreadsheet and it err... turns out it was a lot smaller than I'd expected. It lives on my desk now and holds various bric-a-brac.

Pattern: started with the fabric basket pattern from myfabrics.co.uk; added a jersey lining and performed a double fold-over hem at the top.

Fabric: navy blue cotton poplin with light grey cotton jersey for the lining.
